SGLAX - Open Board Positions

The Spring Grove Lacrosse Club has opening for its Executive Board. The positions are as follows:

  1. YCLA/YGL representative: There is one opening for this position. The representative is responsible for attending all YCLA and YGL meetings and representing the Spring Grove Lacrosse Club and its interest. The representative is also responsible for reporting league information and changes back to the Executive Board.
  2. Equipment Manager: This should be self-explanatory. We need to keep track of equipment loaned to players and which equipment needs to be repaired or replaced.
  3. Field Coordinator: This should also be self-explanatory. We need to make sure we have sufficient fields for practice, games, and the Lumberjax Shootout.
  4. General positions: There are three openings for this position. These positions do not have specific enumerated duties but are charged with assisting the executive board in various functions as needed. The club has experienced 85% growth over the past two years and because of this positive development the board needs to delegate some functions to keep pace with the needs of the club.

Any interest is greatly appreciated. We encourage club members with younger players to participate in the board. It is a great way to learn how the club is run and to help ensure that the players are well served.

Registration for Spring 2020 is open

Registration for the Spring 2020 season is now open. The club fees for each group are as follows (note that in addition to these fees, you must purchase a $30 US Lacrosse membership):

      8U:               $95

      10U-14U:     $170

First year boys can be loaned pads, etc. by the club. These must be returned after the season has concluded. Failure to do so will result in a charge for the equipment to be assessed to the family holding the equipment.

Each first year boy player is given a helmet by the club. If the player does not intend to return for a second year, we require that the helmet be returned. If the player returns to the club for a second year, he can keep the helmet.

     3rd/4th:                       $50 ($30 for new players)

     5th/6th and 7th/8th:    $130 ($80 for new players)
